Learn More About Letterheads
Hello. I’m David Presnell, the owner of Presnell’s Printing Company. Thank you for stopping by! I’ll try not to keep you too long, but I do want your business and I believe that the team at Presnell's can help you. Your letterheads (also called stationery), although not used as much today, are still a great underused communication and marketing tool for your business. If you already know what you want, just Click Here to get started with your new letterhead order. If you need to reorder your letterheads (previously printed by us), Click Here. If you would like to learn more about the perfect letterhead for your business, read on down to the bottom. It will only take a couple of minutes. Again, thanks!
Back in the old days, I ran letterheads on a printing press every day. Thousands of them! Letterheads may be out of fashion, but think about this for a moment… wouldn’t it be cool if you received a hand-signed thank you letter on a professionally printed letterhead (with a designed matching business card and envelope) from a VP of your favorite online shopping site? I don’t even know the names of the people who I order from online. If you want to impress your customers, just try this. Let us print some letterheads, matching business cards and envelopes, and you do a small mailing to your customers. Be sure and hand-sign them. You might include a % off discount if they will mention the letter or some other creative way to test the response. Try the same thing with a machine generated email and measure the results. You might be surprised. When everybody’s doing it, I like to test the old ways. It can be quite profitable.
Presnell’s Printing Company has been creating professional letterheads for our customers for over 17 years. From your ideas, we will graphically design and print the perfect letterhead for your business. If you need help with ideas, we can help you with that, too. It’s our job to help businesses succeed! If you don’t have a logo, or would like to upgrade your logo, let’s start there, first. Click Here to go to our logo page and learn more about how important a good logo is to the overall success of your business.
You can design your own letterheads in many desktop publishing programs, provided you follow our Design & Submission Requirements. If you would like to let us design it for you, the first time we design your letterhead there is a one-time set up charge. It’s based on how much time we put into designing it. If you have a great logo, you definitely want that on your letterhead. Sometimes we receive low quality logos or art from our customers that require time to fix, too. Most of our time-based, one-time set up charges run from $24 to $48, but we will send you an estimate before we do anything. When you reorder, you only pay for printing. That’s right! Our price usually drops when you reorder! We can really save you some money if you let us design your letterhead, business card, and envelope at the same time. If you don’t have a logo, Click Here. Once you have your logo, we can place it on all your custom printed products, too.
Ok, I hope all that wasn’t too painful. Let’s go over some of the reasons for having a professional letterhead in the first place.
1. Provides a powerful professional business image to your customers
Large companies still use letterheads but not as much as they used to. Having a professionally designed and printed letterhead, matching business card and envelope makes your business look professional, like a large corporation if that is your desire. I receive hundreds of junk emails every day that I never read. But now, I read most of the professional envelopes that come to my business, at least the ones with real stamps on them.
2. Helps your potential customers remember you
Launching an advertising campaign with simple hand-signed letters mailed out to your customers may work better than you think. Hand-signed thank you letters from my suppliers always get taped up on the wall for everyone to see. Guess who we call when we need what they sell? Negotiating contracts or proposals may start and end as email, but sending a printed letterhead formalizing the agreement will help them remember you. Using letterheads to help your customers remember you and your business identity is important.
3. Reflects your company’s marketing plan and overall branding
Be sure your letterhead agrees with your overall marketing plan and business values. For example, a professional such as an attorney may want a very restrained clean design that implies professionalism. An artist may want a photo of their art on the letterhead or in the background. Your letterhead should also agree in design with your Business Cards and Envelopes and other marketing materials.
4. Makes your business stand out from your competition
Your letterhead (and all your marketing and printing materials) starts with a logo that differentiates your business from your competitors and helps identify your business as a unique brand. If you do not have a logo, Click Here. A letterhead design should be direct, concise, and visually appealing to help set you apart from your competitors. It might pay off for you to take a look at some of your “successful” competitors’ letterheads before we design yours.
There’s one more important thing I need to say about letterheads. When you get them in your hands “use them!” A box of letterheads sitting on the shelf will not produce one new customer for you! Make a written plan on how you will use your matching letterheads, business cards, and envelopes to help market and brand your business.
Tell us what you need. If you have an idea for a letterhead, let us know and we will offer some suggestions for you to think about. If you are ready to order a custom letterhead, Click Here. If you would like more information, please Contact Us. Thank you again for choosing Presnell’s Printing Company.
